About

I was born and raised in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. After graduating from high school, I attended Delta State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I am entering my 17th year of teaching. I have taught grades K-6th within my seventeen years of teaching. However, I must say my favorite grade has been kindergarten while at White Station Elementary for the past three years!  While teaching, I have also obtained a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Information Systems Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.

My Family

My parents were my biggest influences in becoming a teacher because it allotted them time to spend with me and my siblings. My parents are still educating the masses in my hometown through community involvement and outreach. I also have two brothers who are educators and Marvel collectors.

I am the mother of three children. My kids keep me on my toes and are my biggest accomplishment in life.
